The Coilgun is an alternative secondary weapon for Engineer. It fires laser projectiles that when charged up will ricochet about. Charging up for too long will result in the user being knocked into the air and being severely damaged.

Trivia

The Coilgun is loosely based off of the weapon of the same name from Team Fortress Classic. That game's version did not have a ricochet function.
