Death & Taxes was the first major update patch for TF2C that added [[Weapons|new weapons]], [[Gamemodes|2 new gamemodes]], 2 new teams, another batch of [[achievements]] and another batch of new maps, along with returning ones from [[Team Fortress 2]].
The update focused on cut content from ''Team Fortress 2'', including the [[VIP]] gamemode, the [[Civilian]] class, and various weapons such as the [[Nailgun]] and [[Tranquilizer Gun]]. The update also introduced new original maps, gamemodes, weapons, achievements, and other features.

On the 1st day was the cut [[VIP]] gamemode originally in ''Team Fortress Classic'' along with the cut class for it the [[Civilian]]. Next on day 2 it introduced or rather re-introduced cut weaponry from ''Team Fortress 2'' including the [[Nailgun]] and [[Tranquilizer Gun]]. Day 3 introduced the gamemode [[Domination]] and 2 other teams. On the final and 4th day 6 weapons returned from ''Team Fortress 2'' along with the achievement pack.
