The Überspritze is a vintage yet unique melee weapon that allows the [[Medic]] to use his last ditch attempt at survival as a way benefit both himself and the team if he escapes. When attacking an enemy with the Überspritze, it has the familiar function of letting the user extract 25% Über from their opponent while doing the same 65 points of damage the stock [[Bonesaw]] grants. However this benefit does not come without the cost of blood, as a result the Überspritze has a 20% slower swing speed and removes 10 points of maximum health from the user bringing the [[Medic]]'s base health down to 140 (215 when overhealed).
When the Überspritze hits an enemy, 25% Über is given to the user regardless of damage. This occurs even on cloaked or disguised enemies, but not invulnerable ones. As a penalty, the Überspritze has a 20% slower swing speed and removes 10 points of maximum health from the user, bringing the [[Medic]]'s base health down to 140 (215 when overhealed). The swing speed does not affect how long it takes to initially damage an enemy while attacking. Its stats are otherwise identical to the [[Bonesaw]]. Because the Überspritze can increase the Über meter faster than it drains, it's possible to indefinitely sustain an Übercharge by attacking enemies while one is active.

While it's disadvantages may seem small in comparison to what's gained, they can greatly impede the user's life in many situations. As the description implies, the Überspritze is not a tool for major combat scenarios but rather a backup weapon, rewarding a user for not only landing their slower strikes but also surviving their enemy encounter with 10 less health at their disposal.
Taunting with the Überspritz, or pressing the alternate fire key, activates the Uberslice kill taunt, where the Medic stabs into an enemy and pulls the weapon out. The initial stab deals 1 damage and stuns for 3.7 seconds, filling the Über meter by 25%. The pull out deals 500 damage, does not stun, and fills the Über meter by 100%. The initial stab stuns invulnerable enemies, but does not give Über. The pull out gives Über regardless if the enemy dies. The taunt has a longer range than the regular melee swing and cannot deal critical hits, but can deal mini-crits.

The Überspritze is an alternative melee weapon for the Medic. It is an oversized, metal syringe containing a team colored liquid displayed through measuring glass. It has two finger rings around the bottom and has blood stains around the tip. The liquid inside increases alongside the Medic's Übercharge percentage.

When the Überspritze hits an enemy, 25% Über is given to the user regardless of damage. This occurs even on cloaked or disguised enemies, but not invulnerable ones. As a penalty, the Überspritze has a 20% slower swing speed and removes 10 points of maximum health from the user, bringing the Medic's base health down to 140 (215 when overhealed). The swing speed does not affect how long it takes to initially damage an enemy while attacking. Its stats are otherwise identical to the Bonesaw. Because the Überspritze can increase the Über meter faster than it drains, it's possible to indefinitely sustain an Übercharge by attacking enemies while one is active.
